A Mississippi Thanksgiving (part 1)

This year we went to Mississippi to spend Thanksgiving with Josh's family. My parents went to visit some friends in DC for the holiday so Aimee decided to spend the weekend with us in the country. We had to take two cars so Aimee and Kristin rode with me in "Bella." Most of the ride was full of girl talk and singing to old school *NSYNC songs, but for a while this is what the car looked like...

Don't even worry about how I took these pictures while driving... :)

Thanksgiving day was full of the usual...LOTS of eating and vegging on the couch. We had an extremely packed house...Josh's grandparents, his parents, three aunts, three uncles, nine cousins, me and J, Jeremy and Kristin, Aimee, and several other non-immediate family members. Needless to say we had so much food because we needed to feed such a large bunch! Even with all those people in attendance we still ended up eating T-giving food the entire weekend.
The Spread...
Some pics of the family while everyone else was cooking...

And then there was Shirley's Great Adventure! Shirley is Lily's hermit crab that came all the way from Atlanta to spend the holiday with us. Some how she ended up falling into the couch and getting stuck in there for probably about 15 minutes. The poor crab was traumatized but survived the whole ordeal. It did take several people to get her out and here are a few photos to document the event...
Josh was the crab rescuer and Lily was so happy!
A little bit of cousin silliness and fun...

Stay tuned for part 2 of our T-giving weekend...
