Crock-pot cooking

Lately we have been on a crock-pot kick.  J found a blog with a crock-pot recipe for every day of the year.  He picked out a few that sounded good to him and we've been trying them out.  I have to say that crock-pot cooking is the way to go on a busy school night.  I come home and dinner is practically ready.  The only part that I've had to work on is preparing some of the ingredients the night before so I'm not chopping onions at 6:15 am while also trying to get ready for school.
Here's what we've tried so far...

Peanut Butter Chicken

We served this bbq sandwich style on a bun.

One of my faves.

Another favorite for me and J.

Next up:
Zuppa Toscana Soup (Olive Garden knock off)
I can't wait to try this one.  We were going to have it tonight but since it's almost 80 degrees out today (in January!) I just wasn't in the soup mood.

24 weeks

How far along:  24 weeks
Total weight gained/lost:  Umm...honestly, I haven't checked in a while.  haha
Maternity clothes:  I only wear maternity pants now but I can still fit most all my regular shirts
Stretch marks:  nope
Sleep:  I bought a cheap body pillow from Target that I'm attempting to sleep with.  It's like having a third person in the bed because it's such a big pillow!
Best moment of the week:  I have an appointment on Thursday so hopefully I'll hear his heartbeat but I don't think I'll get to see him on the ultrasound this time.
Movement:  He likes to move around at night when I'm watching tv or about to go to sleep.  J has been able to feel him kicking around and every so ofter we see a little "thump" on my belly.  
Cravings:  Nothing really...I still will never turn down a slice of pepperoni pizza
Gender:  Boy
Labor Signs:  nope
Belly button in/out:  in
What I miss:  Cold deli sandwiches from Jimmy Johns
What I'm looking forward to:  The appointment mentioned above.  :)

Carolina basketball

On Saturday we watched the Gamecocks play basketball against Auburn.  Sadly we lost by two points, but we did get to watch the game from inside the Alumni box.  Our family friend is the president of the Carolina Alumni Association and he invited us all to watch the game from the box.  It was tons of fun and now I feel like I can only watch basketball games in comfort and style.

New Year, New Look

In case you haven't already noticed I have a new look for my blog!  After totally messing everything up J suggested just paying someone who actually knows what they are doing.  I'm sad that I would have to go back and re-add all the pictures from old posts (which is highly unlikely for me) but at least I have a nice background and a new header.  
Kelsey over at kreatedbykelsey.blogspot.com redid the whole thing for me and it looks awesome  now!!  I'm so excited about the larger space for my pictures and the cute new fonts.  Thanks Kelsey!!!

New Year's Eve

This year was our 5th annual New Year's Eve party.  We actually forgot to send out the evite until super late so we were worried nobody would show up...but we ended up having a good turn out.  I also forgot to take pictures for the majority of the night so only the ones that stuck around till midnight made it in the blog post.
