Kick Off for a Cure

Last weekend I spent most of my time in class...Friday after school-class from 3:34-5:00, Saturday-class from 8:30-3:30, BUT after class on Friday I met my family at Williams Brice Stadium to help get ready for the CF Kick Off for a Cure!!

Kick Off for a Cure is a fundraiser event for Cystic Fibrosis. This year we had it during the Carolina/Florida game at the Zone in Williams Brice. I had never been up there before so it was really neat. It was a giant room with a glass wall looking out on the end zone of the stadium and large screen tvs every where. I can see how much fun it would be to have these seats for a home game, not to mention the actual seats are under a covered area!

By the time I got there everything was pretty much set up. There were different food vendor all along the back walls. The food was excellent by the way...Doc's Barbeque, Papa John's pizza, Qdoba, Tronco's and Wild Wing Cafe. There was even a photo booth and an xbox 360 kinect that people could try out. In the middle of the room were tables set up for the silent auction that would take place throughout the evening.

Before the evening started we gathered around to hear our directions for the night. Aimee and I were the greeters/ticket takers at the beginning and then worked check out at the end of the night. It was great because we whole game to hang out, watch the game, and socialize. Josh did a little bar tending, dad worked the drink table, mom helped out in the silent auction.

Before the game...

(Learning to mix drinks)

(Taking care of the important things)

During the game...

(Checking out the bid items)

Right before Carolina beats Florida and wins the SEC East...

It was absolutely silent in that room. I'm pretty sure everyone was holding their breath.

Winning Kiss!!

Getting ready for checkout...

We love the Gamecocks!!
