Ready, set...CAMP!

Here we are...all packed and ready to go.  Eh, at least I hope we have everything we need.  Last summer we spent several days camping in the mountains of TN with J's family.  I, however, didn't technically camp.  I spent the days at the campground, but slept in a hotel at night.  But this year...well, let's just say I'll be "roughing it" with the best of them!  We have a tent, air mattresses, sheets, blankets, pillows, flashlights, lanterns, etc.  I just hope a bear doesn't want to join us in the night!!

Black paint

We made a bold move this past week in our house.  I wanted to add a little "pop" to our plain-jane cookie cutter house so we bought some black paint.  When I told people what I wanted to do I got mixed reactions.  Some people thought it was be really neat and others were a little more skeptical.

We decided to paint our interior doors black!
We have some friends who did the same thing to their house maybe a year or so ago and it looked very cool.  She told me that it would give our house an advantage for when we some day were looking to sell.  I thought I was just take the plunge and go for it...

4th of July

Our fourth of July started out with a parade in the Kimrey's neighborhood.  The girls were so excited to march around the neighborhood with flags and pom-poms.
The girls even decorated Ty's stroller.  Happy Birthday little friend, this parade is really for you!!
After watching the classic movie, Independence Day circa 1996, we headed over to J's parent's house for lots of food!
We also got a little creative with festive nails!
Later that night we went to two more get-togethers with friends, but I never took any pictures.  Oops.

Hope everyone had a fantastic fourth of July!!
