Lately we've been working on the word "no" with Ren.  At first I worried that he was too young to really understand what we were saying, but how wrong I was!  He can crawl over to the dog food bowls and reach out to touch them and we'll say NO.  Then he looks at us and reaches out (without breaking eye contact) and try to touch them again.  

The hardest part of this whole discipline thing is not the constant telling him no, or even the fact that we have to be very consistent...

The hardest part is trying NOT to crack up laughing when he looks at you and smiles knowing he's about to do something he knows he shouldn't!
