InstaFriday

I've seen blogs that have an "Instagram Friday" and I always thought about joining in.  My friend Stacy did an InstaFriday today so I thought...me too!!  The  instagram app is one of my absolute favorite apps for the iphone.  Its like Twitter for pictures. You can follow people...friends, celebrities, strangers...whatever!

Here's a peak at my instagram week...
LOVE that its strawberry season!!  My first batch of berries from the Cottle Farms stand.
My Katniss-inspired hair.  After we saw The Hunger Games there was a huge rain shower and I braided my hair to attempt to keep the frizziness at bay.
Preparation for our upcoming yard sale.
The new do...no more braided ponytails for me!

Locks of Love

I took the plunge today and finally cut my hair!  Its been four years in the making with a few trims to get rid of the split ends every once in a while.
We pulled my hair in a pony tail and she cut just above it.
It ended up being eleven inches of hair to be donated to Locks of Love.
I look like a totally different person!  Now I just have to remember to not use as much shampoo and conditioner in the morning!

NEEDTOBREATH

Last weekend we went to Charleston with Brittany and her boyfriend to see NEEDTOBREATHE.
This was the second time we have seen this band...the first time we were on the very front row...I mean we could reach out and grab their leg if we really wanted to.
We were about seven rows back this time and I can't imagine seeing them and having to sit really far away.

They put on an awesome show and if you ever get a chance to see them I HIGHLY recommend it!

Nurse for a day

My man had surgery yesterday.  He's been suffering with stomach pains for several months so he opted to have his gallbladder removed.  It was outpatient surgery so we were home by 11:30 and he slept most of the day.
I am so thankful for skilled surgeons and for the Lord watching over J yesterday.  He's doing really well today...just resting and recovering.  He's such a good patient that I don't mind being his nurse!
