Growing up

Being at Megan's wedding brought back so many memories for me and my own wedding.  One was that I got to see some of my sweetest "kids."  

I babysat for Lucas when he was still just an infant sleeping in a crib...and now he's almost as tall as me!  Sydney was a jr. bridesmaid in her cousin Megan's wedding and has grown so much since being a flower girl in my wedding.

Woodley/Burton wedding

I have known Megan since she was in elementary school.  She and Aimee were very close friends all growing and sometimes they would let me come hang out with them at Megan's pool.  Megan got married Friday night and had a super fun reception.  It was so good to see some old friends that I don't get to see very often.  

Have I ever mentioned how much I love a good wedding!?  Well, I do and this one brought back many memories of another wedding at the same church almost four years ago. {sigh}  Sadly, J and I didn't even get a picture together at the wedding but I promise he was there.  

Pinterest recipe review

Lately I've been trying out a couple recipes I've found on Pinterest.  

Chicken Parm Pasta Toss

This was super tasty but I didn't try it with the arugula because mine had gone bad by the time we got around to making this dinner (story of my life!)  It made a TON so invite friends over for this one.

Crispy Southwest Chicken Wraps

This meal also made a TON. I need to work on keeping the mixture warmer because all though everything was cooked on the inside, only the outside got hot.

Sweet summer

Ahh...it's officially summer.  In fact, it's been officially summer for the past two weeks.  Here's a glimpse of what the Parks have been up to since the last week of school (in no particular order)...

*beach weekend with our dear friends the Kimreys

*laundry

*baking cookies

*rewatching the LOST series starting with season one

*finishing Game of Thrones book one and on to book two

*pool time 

*playing Harry Potter Lego on xbox

*cleaning around the house

*birthday party for my sweet KD and Karis

*beach trip with co-worker and friend, Natalie

*painting finger nails in full high schooler fashion

*car issues on the way home from said beach trip thus leaving Bella in Florence for repairs

I've pretty much been lazy and enjoying my summer break so far.  I do have hopes of babysitting, sewing, and of course reading.  I sure do love a good summer break!
